Dubrovnik to Split via Počitelj and Mostar
If you have one free day between Dubrovnik and Split, this route shows you a different side of the region. Instead of following the coast, it goes inland into Bosnia and Herzegovina and comes back to the sea at the end of the day.
It is a long day, so we start early. Your luggage stays in the vehicle the whole time.

Stops along the way
Počitelj
A fortified village on a hillside above the Neretva river, with stone houses, a mosque and a tower at the top. A short climb gives a good view of the valley.
Mostar
Time to walk across the Old Bridge, through the old bazaar and have lunch. Two to three hours is usually enough.
Split
From Mostar the road goes back into Croatia and down to the coast. We drop you off at your accommodation or the port in Split.
Good to know
You cross the border twice, so everyone needs a passport or an ID card accepted at the border. In summer the crossings can add time to the day, which we plan for when we agree the start time.
