Two Worlds in One Day: Mostar & Kravice
This trip goes inland into Bosnia and Herzegovina for two very different places: a wide ring of waterfalls where you can swim in summer, and the old town of Mostar around its famous bridge.
It is a long day, so we leave early to reach Kravice before the crowds.

Mostar
The plan for the day
Kravice
The Trebižat river drops over a wide curve of rock into a green pool. In summer many people swim here; outside the season it is quieter and the falls are often fuller.
Mostar
Time to walk across the Old Bridge, through the old bazaar and have lunch. If you are lucky you will see one of the divers jump from the bridge.
The Neretva valley
The road back follows the river south to the coast and Dubrovnik.
Good to know
Everyone needs a passport or an ID card accepted at the border. There is an entrance fee at Kravice, paid on the spot. Bring swimwear and shoes for walking on wet stones if you plan to go in the water.
